CSX Nashville Four Crane Tandem Lift

AmQuip Sales Rep, Al Martins, recently lined up a job in which four of AmQuip's cranes worked in tandem to change out the retarders (devices used to enhance the functions of the friction-based braking system) at CSX Nashville's Radnor Yard Facility.   

The track being removed was 136' long and weighed 172,000 lbs. The cranes used for this task were (2) Liebherr 200 ton LTM1160/2's, (1) Tadano 165 ton ATF130G-5, and (1) Grove 165 ton GMK5130 operated by Tim Outland, Matt Hetrick, Randy Sirbaugh, & Jeff Jenkins and was overseen by Wes Fisher, Operators Supervisor.
